Salary to Hourly Converter
Find out exactly what you're earning for every hour of your time. This tool translates your yearly earnings into a clear hourly rate, making it easier to compare jobs or calculate overtime worth.
How do I convert my annual salary to an hourly wage?
Divide your total annual salary by the number of hours you work in a year. For a standard 40-hour work week, there are 2,080 work hours in a year (40 hours × 52 weeks).
What if I have paid vacation time?
If your salary includes paid time off, you should still use the total hours you are paid for (usually 2,080 for full-time) to find your base hourly rate. If you want to know what you earn only for "active" hours, subtract your vacation hours from the total before dividing.
How do I calculate my hourly rate if I work part-time?
The process is the same: divide your annual pay by (hours worked per week × 52). For example, if you earn $30,000 and work 20 hours a week, your rate is $30,000 / 1,040 = $28.85 per hour.
Should I include bonuses in this calculation?
It depends on your goal. To find your base wage, exclude bonuses. To find your "total compensation" rate, add your annual bonuses and commissions to your base salary before dividing by hours.
