What is a multiple of a number?
A multiple of a number is the product of that number and any integer. For example, 3, 6, 9, 12 are all multiples of 3 because they are results of multiplying 3 by 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively.
How do I find the first 10 multiples of a number?
Simply multiply the number by 1, 2, 3, ..., up to 10. For the number 5, the first ten multiples are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50.
What is the difference between a factor and a multiple?
A factor is a number that divides into another number exactly (e.g., 2 is a factor of 6). A multiple is a number that another number divides into exactly (e.g., 12 is a multiple of 6).
