What is density?

Density is mass per unit volume. Common units: kg/m³, g/cm³. Water at ~4°C has ~1000 kg/m³ (1 g/cm³).

How do I convert between g/cm³ and kg/m³?

1 g/cm³ = 1000 kg/m³. Multiply g/cm³ by 1000 to get kg/m³.

Why do I need only two of three values?

Density, mass, and volume are related: ρ = m/V. Given any two, you can compute the third.

Are temperature effects included?

No. Density can vary with temperature and pressure. This tool assumes a constant density for your input.
