Pavers = (Area × (1 + Waste%)) / Paver Area
Concrete (CY) = (Area × Depth in inches / 12) / 27
Gravel (CY) = (Area × Depth / 12) / 27
Base Material (CY) = (Area × Base Depth / 12) / 27
Edging = Perimeter × (1 + Waste% × 0.5)
Example (Pavers):
Shape: Rectangle 20 ft × 15 ft = 300 sq ft
Material: Pavers (1 ft × 0.5 ft each)
Base: 4 inches sand
Waste: 10%
Paver Area = 0.5 sq ft each
Pavers = (300 × 1.10) / 0.5 = 660 pavers
Base = (300 × 4/12) / 27 = 3.7 cu yd sand
Edging = 70 ft × 1.05 = 73.5 ft
Base Tons = 3.7 × 1.4 = 5.2 tons
