Holiday Entitlement Calculator

Determine how much annual leave you are entitled to. This tool calculates pro-rata holidays for part-time staff and accrual for those with irregular hours.

Days = Days/Week × 5.6; Accrual = Total Hours × 12.07%
Full-time (5 days/week): 5 * 5.6 = 28 days.

How is holiday entitlement calculated?

Standard holiday entitlement is usually 5.6 weeks per year. For a full-time worker (5 days a week), this equals 28 days. For part-time workers, it is calculated pro-rata.

What is the pro-rata calculation?

Pro-rata means "in proportion." If a full-time worker gets 28 days, someone working 3 days a week gets 3/5ths of that amount (16.8 days).

Are bank holidays included?

Employers can choose to include bank holidays as part of your statutory 5.6 weeks of annual leave.

How does it work for irregular hours?

For those with irregular hours, holiday is often accrued as 12.07% of the total hours worked during a period.
